I'm sorry HCDB, but you will probably be asked to leave. I supported you. I said we should give you another year. But, yeah, its time for you to go. Today was your best chance to win a Conf game this season against an 0-8 Baylor team. But, we came out listless and slow. We looked like we were walking through the motions of a shorts and t-shirt practice. There was no fire. Just penalties, turnovers, and confusion.

You may pick up your KU sweat pants and jackets on your way out. We gave you three good years. We look worse now than when you came here. Its not me .... its you. And ..... we can still be friends.

For all the lack of public discussion, Kingsbury is clearly back on the hot seat entering Saturday's game against Baylor at AT&T Stadium. At 4-5 overall (1-5 Big 12) and with four straight losses, the situation is undeniable and coming to a head.
At the same time, Kingsbury still could conceivably make a case for returning with Baylor, TCU at home and a road game at Texas the day after Thanksgiving. Imagine wins against Baylor and Texas and a competitive showing against TCU with Tech becoming bowl eligible.

Tennessee has a TON of money to throw around. And I have a feeling they will go after Campbell from ISU. I think Frost goes to the Nubs. But I like on that list that Les Miles was an option. I think he's still got a ton left in the tank and he's a damn good coach who just made some bad OC hires at LSU that came back to bite him.

greg schiano will probably be a head coach soon, maybe knoxville. my guess is that dan mullin moves to florida or tennessee, although the latter may not be much of an upgrade from 'hail state.' venables could end up in lubbock if kliff is terminated. but they did beat baylor and have a couple rivals left to make his case.

This is some of the most irresponsible journalism I've seen.

In a recent appearance on "The Rich Eisen Show," Gruden said he might return to coaching "one of these days, you never know," a seemingly empty sentiment he has expressed on several occasions. But because he has ties to a pair of high-profile potential openings, it seems possible that the 2003 Super Bowl champion could be persuaded to accept his first professional gig since the 2008 season.

Gruden's longstanding ties to Tennessee make him a natural fit for that opening. He spent time in Knoxville as a graduate assistant from 1985 to 1987. Additionally, his wife is a former Tennessee cheerleader, and his son is a current student at the university. Gruden was spotted at the Volunteers' game against South Carolina last month, showing that he still has a soft spot for his old squad.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Gruden is said to have at least thought about the position. According to John Talty of AL.com, the Ohio native once informed school administrators that the Tennessee job was one of three college jobs he would ever consider taking.
