Re: totally random thread

Thanks joisey!

Let's change the subject to something happier and totally random.
Anyone aware there is going to be a Super Moon on Sunday?
Has anyone on here flown enough miles in their lifetime that equate/s to going to the moon and back? I know several people who have.

Had a tough day yesterday all around. I feel I do, and do, and do for people and people don't give me anything in return. I don't feel as if I am owed anything - but occasional gratitude and a once in a blue moon "gesture" to show I'm appreciated goes a long way for me.
If people I choose to be in my life don't give me what I feel I need - then I have to look in the mirror and not at them.
As Frtiz Perls said, I am not in this world to live up to your expectations,
and you are not in this world to live up to mine.
You are you, and I am I,
and if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful.
If not, it can't be helped.

yes and no

maybe you just need to find something in your life (or put something in your life) that "fills your cup", so to speak

you can't always choose who you interact with, unfortunately

Re: totally random thread

Hang in there, Gutter. My advice to get better: Drink some 7-Up (not Sprite) and watch a big helping of Bears football.

Let’s let Gutter navigate his female issues. He will be fine.

Can’t be worse than me. Want to be a home owner with no responsibilities?  Condo.  Expensive. Want female companionship with no responsibilities?  Escorts

Re: totally random thread

So I went to trivia night at the bar with these chicks from work.

One of the questions was “what Creedence song features the lyrics “Poorboy twangs the rhythm out on his kalamazoo?”

And I was sitting there like, hey you guys I think it’s down on the corner! Isn’t it down on the corner?

And they were all like, is it proud Mary? Or green river?

And I was like, it’s down on the corner! Trust me! I know my creedence! I have some tapes in my car!

And they were like, maybe it’s run through the jungle?

And I’m like IT’S FUCKING DOWN ON THE FUCKING CORNER YOU FUCKING LOOSERS

And unfortunately enough they were like, let’s just go with fortunate son.

And we got the question wrong so I just sat there watching Wiggins and Embiid for the rest of the game for the rest of the game. And we ended up loosing trivia cuz no one would listen to me.

But now two chicks from work came over to hang out and I just put on some creedence, so stay tuned!

Re: totally random thread

but back to op: I've been trying to critique my writing. Pare it down.

for instance, unfortunately enough they were like, let's just go with fortunate son.

I could have went with, unfortunately they were like, let's go with fortunate son.

or even just, unfortunately they went with fortunate son.

more can be said with less.

sorry, tldr.

Compelling story. Lots of tension with a cliffhanger ending. No sex, though. Was there?
However above should read "could have GONE with." I mean how many folks would have went (sic) to see Went With the Wind?
